Our little princess, Leaenn-Joy Tan (陈乐恩) was born on 7 July 2009.
“Keaen” was the name that first came to mind way before Leaenn was born. We decided to use this name should the baby be a boy. From this name, we decided on “Leaenn” if the baby is a ‘she’ instead.
Leaenn’s chinese name 乐恩 (乐 means Joy and 恩 means God’s grace) is kinda a direct translation from Leaenn. Additionally, we decided on a biblical middle name “Joy” which is equivalent to “乐” in her Chinese name as we want her to be full of joy. Indeed, Leaenn is a cheerful, bubbly little girl.
